The 28 cm long and 127g-ish chestnut-colored woodpecker (Celeus castaneus) is a bird. The majority of this bird’s plumage is a rich, unbarred chestnut brown colour with a yellow rump, sides, and crest. The bird’s beak is yellow-white, with black wings and a tail. The male’s malar (cheek) stripe is crimson.
